I gotta write , gotta write , gotta finish my novel…these words often run through my mind these days….at least I feel like a busy author , so what if I haven’t written a single page in the last twenty two days … job keeps me busy thirty hours a week…and at the end of a hard day’s work , the last thing that I wish to do is sit in front of my computer and type….but if i don’t , these words pop up – gotta write …gotta write …gotta finish my book…
So what shall I do? I’m stuck . My mind is all blocked . Oddly enough I take advice of one of the characters of my own novel…”tired as you might be , painful as it feels , never give up on perseverance .”
And believe me , it works! I’ve got a great scene coming up in a couple of chapters . Now I just have to get there .
From the moment I resolved to set aside a few moments to write each day , I have started enjoying the creative process …it feels like a recreation now , rather than a chore I have to complete . …
